Vintage Swimwear The Trend for 2011

As the seasons start to get warmer and turn from winter to spring to summer, it is time to start getting out your old bathing suits. Of course, if you want to actually look good this year, you might consider putting on vintage swimwear instead. Not many people are doing it right now, but it is going to be the hot thing to do at the end of the summer of 2011. Women are starting to realize that they like the way a one piece looks, especially since they can be very flattering to just about any body size.

The other reason that vintage swimwear is going to be so popular is because there are so many more options for styles. You can get the ruched style suits, which can add size to the bust, or you can get the knotted type for extra flair. There are those with polka dots, stripes, and anything you would have expected to see in the 1950s. Even better is the fact that they cost less money than bikinis, surprisingly. While you would expect bikinis to be more expensive due to the fact that they use less material, they are pricier because they are in greater demand right now.

Since the summer has not yet arrived, it is the time to get some vintage swimwear. You will pay a lot less money than you would expect to pay during the summer, and your savings can sometimes be as great as 75% off. For example, designer swimsuits can easily cost more than $100 in the summer, but during the off season you can get them for less than $40. Most people don't take advantage of this because they don't think ahead. By getting a vintage suit, you will not only be thinking ahead financially, you will be thinking ahead where fashion is concerned as well.

The trend this year is going to be looking and feeling great in your own skin. Fortunately, this is easy in vintage swimwear, which is designed to complement the things about you that you like and hide the things that you are not very proud of. There are vintage suits for men as well, but women have an enormous selection. Of course, that should not be a problem, as the retro style should continue to be the trendy way to dress for many summers to come. That will just give you more time to fill your drawers full of them.
