Moale Beach is one of 14 beautiful beaches on the island of Nias. This beach has a coastline that is straight and long. For travelers, this point becomes an object that must be visited. It's about two-hour overland trip from Teluk Dalam, South Nias regency capital, or about three hours drive from Mount Sitoli, Nias Parent. On the beach stands a cafe and some small shack with a capacity of six to eight people to just sit around enjoying the beautiful sea.

Sorake beach in South Nias also really good at sunrise. In June-July a lot of tourists visit to surf, ".

Beaches in West Nias was no less enticing. Exactly in the village of Sirombu, West Nias. In the evening, travelers can enjoy the shepherds herding cows to come home past the beach. The view was so unique when the cows were running marched on the sand beach, while the roaring sound legs collide with the sound of an endless ocean waves aside.

In this village stands harbor scenery is so beautiful because about a mile from the port there are small islands such as Pulau Asu and Pulau Bring. Waves on the island had reached seven to 10 meters so many surfers spur andrenalinnya there. Natural beauty was dazzling underwater for divers.

Unfortunately it's rarely played surfers on this beach. By the tsunami in 2004, waves were not as big as it used to be.

Just a note, Sirombu villages most severely damaged when the tsunami hit Nias in late December 2004. Debris on the beach Sirombu able to "give" the news how powerful the force of the tsunami and how severe the suffering citizens of that time. It was recorded 850 deaths and 35,000 houses destroyed and damaged. Most of these are in Sirombu.

You still want to surf the beach?

Try visiting Afulu in North Nias. In addition there are white sand beaches, this beach also presents the beauty of red sand. North Nias people save a story about a giant evil dragon who was killed at the hands of a powerful warrior. Dragon blood flow and cause a red along the coast. "It is believed to be citizens," said Elisman Nazara, a resident of North Nias.

Cultural tourism
When bored enjoy the natural beauty, travelers can enjoy Nias cultural tourism is still very strong, especially in South Nias. Indigenous villages, megalithic sites (large stone), as well as the surrounding story is very interesting. Without visiting these places, stories about the greatness of megaliths or the uniqueness of indigenous villages was bland.

Try to visit the megalithic sites in the village of Lahusa Idano Tae, District Gomo. The stones the size of the giant record the cultural history of how the predecessor Nias residents behave. Noble values and local wisdom eternal recorded between the andesite rocks.
The stones were to witness how the predecessor citizens working there and fight for dignity.

Watching stone weighing many tons with a height of up to 1.5 meters, the thought of how to carve Nias tribe, organize, and picked it up. Can not imagine it? :)

Unfortunately, megalith sites in Lahusa Idano Tae is celebrated residents was not maintained so it is not visually appealing. In contrast to the megaliths in the village and Bawomataluo Orahili Fau, District bay Within. The stones were so well looked after and are still exploited citizens to just sit around or for traditional ceremonies.

Almost every house in the courtyard there is a large rock along the 1.5 meters, width of 1 meter, 20 centimeters thick. Some of the slightly smaller size. Nias ancestral heritage of megaliths that there are also in the Village Ulayama, District Lolowa'u, and Onolimbu, West Nias.

Especially in the village Bawomataluo, travelers can enjoy the dish Dance War (Baluse) and jump the rock (Hombo stone), the two traditions are very famous Nias. Two of these traditions is now often exhibited specific to entertain travelers, certainly not for free.
To show the war dance usually people ask for tariff of Rp 5 million to Rp 10 million. These funds are for the players whose numbers reached 50 people.

The appeal of cultural and natural beauty as an endless Nias although once torn by the tsunami. From the northern tip to the southern tip of Nias presents the beauty that is hard to find in places lain.ias DariKe Edge
