Experts agree that people who take their health, family, and self-worth seriously should also learn to take vacation time seriously. Much like vitamins, vacations can help boost your personal and professional life. So, why take a vacation...

Take one for your health!
In many studies throughout the years vacations have been proven to delay death for both men and women. It was discovered that lack of vacations contributes to higher chances of heart disease and both men and women that occasionally take time off are less likely to die from the same coronary heart disease. Studies show that taking time off can reduce the risk of a heart attack by 32% in men and 50% in women. Vacationing can be just as important as watching your cholesterol, eating right or exercising. Additionally, going on vacation has restorative effects that can reduce stress and prevent burnout.

The incidence in stress claims is rising and is having an impact on the economy and enterprises in general.
The incidences of people whwork 'day in day out' whin many ways are closet workaholics is increasing. We are told that 1 in 5 Australians are suffering from some sort of mental illness and that 1 in 7 teenager's at high-school suffer from depression. This comes from proven research but my guess is that it is probably higher, after all these subjects are still quite taboin our society.
