10 Clues When We Have Weekend

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are 10 Clues that may help :

  1. If you're bored to spending weekend after weekend doing the same old boring things round the house, why not spoil your other half to a meal out? It doesn't have to be expensive; all you have to do is head to one of your favourite haunts for some quality bar food and leave the cooking and washing up for another day.
  2. You could even arrange a night or afternoon out with your friends, meeting up with them for food and drinks. Many places have a bar menu that provides good quality meals in a more relaxed and sociable atmosphere.
  3. If you love to laugh  and there aren't many of us who don't  you could head into town to see a comedy show. Most city centres have comedy clubs featuring local and often national acts. Most will be fairly cheap, meaning you can have a night out for a small fee.
  4. Alternatively, if you fancy something more fancy, perhaps so you and your partner can get dressed up for a night on the tiles, you could take in a show, such as a musical or theatre performance.
  5. If you're more the outdoorsy type and the weather looks like it might be good, you may want to stretch your legs on a nice walk. The UK is blessed with some staggering scenery and countryside that offers meandering hiking trails that are bound to help you clear your head of stress.
  6. Or, if you fancy being able to cover more ground and get a little more energetic exercise, you could take the bikes to the countryside for a bike ride through the forest. If you have children, this could be a great way to spend time together as a family that doesn't consist of sitting in front of the TV.
  7. Or, if you fancy spoiling them (and, who are we kidding, spoiling yourself as well) why not head out for icecream? There are a number of icecream parlours that provide a wide and tasty range to choose from.
  8. If you're looking for an activity that's completely out of the norm, the horse racing could be the answer. There are many great courses throughout the country, each with a number of annual events attracting people from all walks of life. They're even popular amongst families, so it needn't be just for the grownups.
  9. As we've arrived in summer, why not plan to make the most of the good weather we'll hopefully be getting by hosting a barbecue. There's nothing like being able to enjoy some tasty food outdoors and it could offer a great opportunity to socialise with friends.
  10. If you're on a tight budget, but still fancy something fun to keep you occupied or entertained, museums could be the answer. Many offer free admission, allowing you to soak up some culture without having to pay. You could even use the money you'll save to enjoy one of the other activities, such as eating some quality bar food or heading to the races.
